Learning Objectives
• Discover how variable frequency drives are used in modern industry.
•Learn the different types of variable frequency drives
•Learn troubleshooting techniques that will reduce downtime.

This 4-1/2 day course is designed for the electrician or maintenance person who is responsible for maintaining and/or troubleshooting variable frequency drives used in the production industry and HVAC application. Various techniques will be covered including six step, pulse width modulation and flux vector. A combination of lecture, demonstrations and hands on activities will help prepare the student to identify, isolate and troubleshoot problems within the variable frequency drive.

Who Should Attend
Electricians and maintenance technicians who are responsible for maintaining and/or troubleshooting variable frequency drives.

Requirements
Working knowledge of basic electricity
