Tuition USD $1185

Knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity is essential for personnel that perform maintenance tasks in industrial, commercial or utility facilities. An understanding of electrical basics creates the foundation for personnel to work with or around electrical systems.

Learning Objectives
• Math skills and use of scientific calculator

• AC/DC fundamentals, Ohm's Law, typical load and generation concepts

• Matter, electron flow, and methods to produce electromotive force

• Relationships between voltage, ohms, amperes, three-phase voltage, current and power in wye/delta circuits

• The effects of resistors, inductors and capacitors

• Calculate single- and three-phase values

• Multimeters used in lab for problem solving work-related DC circuits

Who Should Attend
Designed for personnel entering into the electrical field who need a solid background in AC/DC concepts; nonelectrical personnel requiring basic electrical knowledge, cross-training or electrical technicians that need a review.
