•Identify components and nameplate data for SF6 dual pressure and puffer-type circuit breakers
•Perform maintenance and adjustments on operating mechanisms as required by manufacturer
•Understand the process of inspecting and overhauling SF6 puffers and interrupters
•Perform the following tests on SF6 circuit breakers in lab: contact resistance, insulation resistance, power factor and hi-pot
•Understand troubleshooting methods that can reduce unscheduled downtime
•Review electrical line diagrams Who Should Attend Designed for technicians, engineers, and supervisors that are responsible for the maintenance and testing of SF6 circuit breakers. Requirements Requires working knowledge of basic electricity. Field experience is beneficial, but not required. Students must wear safety toe shoes.
